Our Story

Dr Peter Pease is the founder of Peter Pease – Learning Psychology and since 1987 his companies have helped more than 100,000 people improve their performance and achieve their potential. Peter has more than 30 years’ experience in designing, developing and executing development programmes which deliver measurable results.

Peter's fascination with the effectiveness of learning began early on, even in his undergraduate dissertation, which explored narrowing the research-practice gap before it became a well-known concept. His dedication to evaluation and measurement has remained a cornerstone of his work, from running his first training evaluation courses 30 years ago to continually refining and expanding his approach to learning outcomes.

From 1987 to 2011, Peter established and led several successful Learning & Development and Workforce Development businesses, reaching up to 12,000 learners annually. In 2011, he shifted his focus to academia, earning an MSc and PhD in Business Psychology while lecturing and deepening his expertise. Since then, Peter has continued to merge academic insights with practical applications, founding Peter Pease – Learning Psychology and serving as a visiting lecturer.

In recent years, we've revisited and revitalised our approach to evaluation, measurement, and analytics in Learning & Development (L&D). In 2022, we developed a Behavioural Assessment Tool (Psychometric) for a client, marking the beginning of a new phase of research and innovation. We also launched the Learning & Development Improvement Analyst (LaDIA) programme, an 18-month funded initiative aimed at transforming L&D professionals into evidence-based practitioners. With 23 organisations and 300,000 learners participating, LaDIA has already begun to redefine how learning impact is measured and enhanced.

Our commitment to thought leadership and innovation continued with Peter speaking at the ATD conference on Generative AI for L&D in 2024, sharing insights on the transformative power of AI tools in our field. We are excited to further explore these opportunities through upcoming mini bootcamps and additional LaDIA cohorts.

Looking ahead to 2025, we plan to expand our impact even further, with more speaking engagements, the development of GenAI solutions, and the publication of a book to share our insights and experiences with a broader audience.

Today, our team remains dedicated to designing, developing, and executing innovative learning programmes that deliver real, measurable results. Our story is one of continuous evolution, driven by a deep commitment to understanding learning, improving performance, and ultimately helping individuals and organisations achieve their true potential.
